Upcoming Meeting Tuesday 2/27 at 7 pm

Howdy ACS,

We are proud to be hosting Dr. Debra Fowler, the Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) at Texas A&M, this coming Tuesday night at 7 pm in CHEM 2121.

Dr. Fowler leads the CTE which works to provide program design and (re)design, interdisciplinary teaching and learning, and promote critical thinking and inquiry skills here at A&M. Most interestingly, Dr. Fowler is a trained Chemist. See below for a more information on Dr. Fowler's background.

We look forward to hearing about Dr. Fowler's journey from chemist to leader here at A&M.

Buy chemistry-themed t-shirts, model kits, stickers and even pay your dues at our new online store!

Additional Background on Dr. Fowler:
Dr. Fowler received her B.S. degree in Chemistry from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Engineering, with specific emphasis on engineering education, from Texas A&M University. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she spent sixteen years with The Dow Chemical Company in a variety of roles from technical service and development to overseeing the technical hiring for North America before returning to graduate school.
